Who we are

This website (hereinafter referred to as “the Website”) is owned by Evel Neokleous Ekpaideftikos Psychologos (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us” or “the Company”). Please refer to the Impressum for the Company’s legal information.

What personal data we collect and why

Comments

When visitors to the Website (hereinafter referred to as “Users” or “you”) leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the Users’ IP address and browser user-agent string to help spam detection.

Media and files

If you upload images to the website, the image data and metadata (including embedded location data) will potentially be available to any User of the site. Therefore, we recommend that Users do not upload any images or other files that have not been properly sanitised to remove personal information. By uploading files to the Website, you consent to the data being shared publicly.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this Website may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the User has visited the other website.

We do not provide User data to third-parties, except where explicitly mentioned in this document; however, these websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. We recommend, therefore, that you set your browser to block all third-party cookies.

Use of personal data in this manner by third-parties is described by their respective privacy policies.

Cookies

For more information on what cookies we set, please see our Cookies page.

Whom we share your data with

We will not share your data with any third-parties except:

  • as explicitly mentioned in this policy
  • when we receive your explicit consent to do so
  • under torture or credible threat of violence (e.g., a subpoena)

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. Comments are retained to maintain continuity in threads; metadata is retained so that we can recognise and approve more easily any follow-up comments by the same user.

For registered users, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. Account holders can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (usernames are an exception in that they cannot be edited). The Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you; we will honour such requests except in cases where we need to retain the data for proper functioning of the Website or for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Our Website servers are located in Frankfurt, Germany, and no data is transferred outside the EU for processing. We do not, at this time, share User data with third parties.
